The Creative Journal NEWSLETTER

No one ever explained to you how to get by in this line of work. Or how to deal with a client who stops replying, a project that runs over time, a year without a steady income, or those moments when you just can’t seem to create anything.

Neither did anyone explain it to me at the start. And I’m still learning.

Here, I’ll share with you what I’ve discovered along the way: how to choose the right business status, how to organise yourself without burning out, how to sort out your legal framework, how to manage clients, how to raise your profile without compromising yourself, and how to keep going in the long run. What’s worked for me, what hasn’t, and what I wish I’d known sooner.

One email a week. First email in August–September.

Currently available in French only.

Bienvenue et à très vite !

Aurora guided my students in creating illustrated detective stories with great attentiveness and professionalism.
She brought their ideas to life through character designs that she adjusted based on their feedback. Her approach with the students and her involvement until the projects were completed greatly contributed to the success of the workshop.
We have fond memories of this collaboration.

I commissioned her to illustrate my first album, Aurora. I am very satisfied with her skills because of the quality of her work. The images correspond to the characters and their feelings. The color nuances also show changes in behavior. Many thanks to this illustrator, whom I will be commissioning again soon.

Thank you again so so much for your hard work🙏  It was very helpful.  I hope you enjoyed doing in-betweens for c1047.
And I really hope we can work together again in the future!
